This publication contains electronic facsimiles of thirty three Syriac manuscripts from the collection of the Vatican Library. Through a simple interface the user is able to gain access to each of these manuscripts in Adobe® PDF format. All of the images in this collection are copyrighted by the Bibliotheca Apostolica Vaticana (BAV). No images may be reproduced in whole or in part without express permission from the copyright holder.

This is a wonderful example of the combination of traditional scholarship with modern technology to meet the needs of academics and students of Syriac literature at the beginning of the twenty-first century, and I suspect and hope that it is a model that will be followed by those responsible for many further manuscript collections.
